DRAGON-I

For our project, we had visit many different type of restaurant. We had visit one of the restaurant which is famous and specialized in China food, the restaurant is  “Dragon-I”.

Dragon-I (龙的传人)

First, we need to some introduction about this restaurant.

According to Dragon-I official website, slogan of this restaurant is “where a memorable culinary experience awaits.”

This restaurant was established in 2004, the first Dragon-I outlet opened at Mid Valley Megamall. Dragon-I inspired by the rich and diverse culinary offerings from China, especially from the regions of Shanghai, Szechuan, Beijing and Lanzhou. Each dish is prepared by highly-skilled chefs from mainland China using top quality ingredients. This is to ensure authenticity in both presentation and taste.

“LONG TI CHUAN REN”, this is the Chinese name of the restaurant. This name is derived from a combination of phonetics and facts. The Chinese word “LONG” is means “Dragon” in Chinese meaning. But for the restaurant, the strokes for the character “LONG” represent that of the restaurant’s signature delicacy, the xiao “long” bao.

We went to this restaurant on a Sunday morning (22/04/2012). There are many outlet in different shopping mall. So, we decided to choose the restaurant which is located in Pavillion, Kuala Lumpur.

When we first entered the restaurant, we felt the atmosphere in restaurant is relaxable. The interior design of the restaurant is elegant. We were saying “Wow” when we first saw the restaurant. The beautiful looking restaurant makes us want to stay in the restaurant in a longer time.
Inside Of The Restaurant
We also saw some China terracotta warriors stand neatly at the side of restaurant, they looks like full of power and grandeur.

After we took a seat, a beautiful waitress walked gracefully to our table and gave menu book to us. There are many food, and we even can’t decided to order what. At last, we ordered the restaurant’s signature delicacy, Shanghainese Steamed Meat Dumpling (Xiao Long Bao) and Beijing Ramen (also known as Jia Jiang Mian).

While we were waiting for our food, we ate some side dish such as the wet peanuts. Honestly, it taste normal but it is good to eat some side dish before we had our meal.

After a few minutes, our food was finally out. The waitress put the food on the table. It looks nice and we were can’t wait to finished it!

The Meal That We Ordered
We ate the Beijing Ramen first. Ervin helped others to stir the noodles with the unique sauce that already in the bowl. The ramen taste delicious! We finished the ramen in a short of time.

Then, we ate the famous dishes in this restaurant- Shanghainese Steamed Meat Dumpling. We heard our parents said that before we eat the dumpling, we should peep the dumpling because inside the dumpling have soup. These dumpling are traditionally filled with pork.

After we finished our meal, we decided to leave the restaurant and took bill for our meal. Our meal costs RM 39.20. It’s a normal price in Kuala Lumpur with such a delicious meal!

This restaurant is good with relaxable and clean environment, helpful waiter and waitress and delicious China food. If we have a chance to vote this restaurant as best China food restaurant, we will definitely vote it! Because it deserve to be voting.

When someone asking us any recommended China food restaurant in town, we will recommend this restaurant!

Thai Thai, Sunway Pyramid

Thai Thai, Sunway Pyramid

Hema and I went to Sunway Pyramid early this week after our classes wondering what to have for dinner after a few hours of shopping at the mall. We were extremely hungry and was craving for something different than just indian food and Chinese food, so we decided to have Thai food.

The restaurant looked really attractive. The interior design of the restaurant was really unique. It is made out of a high class design. There is an outdoor seating for smokers or people who cant take the cold inside the restaurant because its freezing.

As we sat on those sofa chairs which had pillows that were so comfortable, the fragrance of the restaurant was really refreshing. It was also very spacey and wasn’t as congested as what we thought it would be.
One of their friendly waiter attended us with showing us the menu and was waiting for our order patiently. We didn’t waste much time browsing through the menu, we ordered Seafood Tom Yam Soup and papaya salad with serving of rice together with ice-lemon tea and ribena for drinks.

The food was served in a proper manner. We were impressed with the setting of the food. It had the authentic Thai taste. It was really tasty though it was very spicy.
We thought the bill would be a bomb because of the setting and dining of the place but it was roughly about RM 50 to RM 60. But I have to say it was really worth the price we paid. We enjoyed our meal and we recommend those of you who haven’t tried this Thai Thai restaurant in Sunway Pyramid to go try it.

Our happy smiles after having dinner at Thai Thai.

TGI FRIDAY’S

Last Sunday, we went to T.G.I. Friday’s, Pavilion, KL. The service there was very good. It was very efficient. There were a few waiters that will welcome the customers into the premise.

We’ll talk about the concepts of T.G.I Friday's, Pavilion, KL.

The restaurant set up was also very unique. The walls surrounding the restaurant are made up of very colourful images. The place is very well organized. The red and white stripes being the restaurant’s trademark appearance. The tables and chairs are arranged in an orderly manner. The restaurant also has four HD televisions to show their food to their customers.

We felt very comfortable about the atmosphere because of the soothing music and the interesting television programes shown on screen. The restaurant offers a variety of food. It focuses on casual dining.

The first dish that we had is the sesame chicken strips. The appearance of this dish looks very decent because it basically looks like a simple fried chicken fillet with sesame seeds in it. However, the taste of this meal is extremely delicious. You could felt the crunchiness skin of the chicken strips with its meat, which were very soft and juicy, melting inside the mouth. Not only that, it is also served with their signature sauce, Jack Daniel sauce, which is used for the dipping for the chicken.

The second dish that we had is the key west whitefish. It serves with a wholesome fish that was grilled with marinated sparking wine and boiled vegetables. It also comes along with a green herb rice. Although the size and serving of this meal was less full, the taste of it was very delicious. The fish was very well cook as u can taste every aspect of sauce in it. Besides that, the sauce of the fish also goes well along with the herb rice, which is very tasty.
After finishing the burger, they had finally served us our most craving and also expensive dish. It was their signature dish, beef ribs. TGI Friday’s was famous for their well cook meat and also their special sauce. Could you imagine the taste of it being fire grilled while being marinated together? No wonder why we will even order this expensive dish, I guess just the information of the food in the menu had already make us craving for it. Not only it looks goods in the appearance, the taste of this dish was also very delicious. The meat was very juicy and chewable. It also serves along with fries. Well, I guess it’s the best dish by so far.
